I am a little inconvenienced, though. They&#8217;re the local dealer for <a href=\"http:\/\/pantherarms.com\" target=\"_blank\">Panther Arms<\/a>, the manufacturer of the rifle I want to buy. I looked on the website, picked out a particular model, then marched down to Scheels to put in my order. Denied.<\/p>\n<p>Scheels has long had a policy against &#8220;assault weapons&#8221; including AR-15 variants, but has since softened a little. Nevertheless, they&#8217;re only willing to stock or sell certain DPMS models&#8230;and the one that I&#8217;ve got in mind has a collapsible stock. Not gonna happen, at least not at Scheels.<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;ve got every right to sell or not sell whatever they want, so I&#8217;m not upset about it. Just the opposite, actually; I&#8217;m happy to see that someone has a set of principles and is willing to stand up for them, even if it costs them a lot of money. In the mean time, I&#8217;ve just got to find another dealer. Scheels just lost a pretty expensive sale, though!
