{"id":3967,"date":"2014-05-26T00:32:54","date_gmt":"2014-05-26T05:32:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bismarck-mandan.com\/?p=3967"},"modified":"2014-05-26T00:32:54","modified_gmt":"2014-05-26T05:32:54","slug":"a-couple-of-milestones-reached","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/?p=3967","title":{"rendered":"A couple of milestones reached"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bismarck-mandan.com\/images\/2014\/05\/3000_iphone_2462.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3966\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bismarck-mandan.com\/images\/2014\/05\/3000_iphone_2462.jpg\" alt=\"3000_iphone_2462\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2014\/05\/3000_iphone_2462.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2014\/05\/3000_iphone_2462-150x99.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2014\/05\/3000_iphone_2462-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a>In case you don&#8217;t know the story: I&#8217;ve been trying to get to the 3,000 mile mark on my mountain bike for the longest time.\u00a0 Technically speaking, I&#8217;m several hundred miles past it&#8230;but due to various speedometer failures over the years I&#8217;ve never seen it <em>indicated<\/em>, and therefore I&#8217;ve never considered it &#8220;official&#8221;.\u00a0 That is, until today.<\/p>\n<p>With my various medical things going on lately, I really didn&#8217;t expect to be out on a bike this weekend.\u00a0 I did ride, though, without anything unusual, and spent part of the trip pulling over at a park to play catch with my oldest little boy (I had mitts, a baseball, and water bottles in my backpack).\u00a0\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t do anything aggro, no wheelies or endos, and chose to take it easy.
