{"id":4404,"date":"2015-01-23T00:52:47","date_gmt":"2015-01-23T05:52:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/?p=4404"},"modified":"2015-01-26T00:49:12","modified_gmt":"2015-01-26T05:49:12","slug":"tribune-article-features-quote-highlighting-liberal-logic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/?p=4404","title":{"rendered":"Tribune article features quote highlighting one-way liberal &#8220;logic&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2015\/01\/tribune_012215.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4403\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2015\/01\/tribune_012215.jpg\" alt=\"tribune_012215\" width=\"361\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2015\/01\/tribune_012215.jpg 361w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2015\/01\/tribune_012215-108x150.jpg 108w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2015\/01\/tribune_012215-217x300.jpg 217w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 361px) 100vw, 361px\" \/><\/a>Tinfoil-hat liberal groups are active as ever in North Dakota, and they were in full batscat-crazy mode this week at a hearing for modifying the state&#8217;s legal levels of TENORM (technologically enhanced, naturally occurring radioactive materials if I remember correctly).\u00a0 At the forefront is the Dakota Resource Council.\u00a0 One of their minions made a comment that caught my eye immediately.\u00a0 According to the Tribune:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Kathryn Hilton, of DRC, challenged the Argonne study because it used computer models instead of testing radioactivity levels from affected sites.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, now&#8230;wait a minute.\u00a0 Someone should point out to Ms. Hilton that, according to her fellow advocates, <em>computer models are gospel<\/em>.\u00a0 That&#8217;s what they&#8217;ve been insisting for twenty years or more in order to advance us toward global socialism (the <strong>only<\/strong> purported cure for global <del>cooling<\/del> <del>warming<\/del> climate change).<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>only<\/strong> way one can &#8220;prove&#8221; that American SUVs are causing global <del>cooling<\/del> <del>warming<\/del> <del><\/del>climate change is by <strong>programming computer models to say so.<\/strong>\u00a0 That assumption is &#8220;baked in&#8221; when the simulations and models are first constructed.\u00a0 That&#8217;s how scientists <a href=\"https:\/\/climatesanity.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/24\/kevin-trenberths-real-travesty\/\" target=\"_blank\">can be so confounded at the lack of warming <\/a>which their models predictably foretold, yet bears no correlation to the actual data.<\/p>\n<p>In other words &#8211; no, <strong><em>in Kathryn Hilton&#8217;s words<\/em><\/strong>, computer models are not the same as actual observations and data&#8230;two things that don&#8217;t bear out the AGW (American-made Global Warming) theory.\u00a0 Yes, <em>theory<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Just this week I was engaged in a discussion where it was pointed out that none of these liberal positions have a leg to stand on in that they have to constantly violate their own precepts in order to adapt their &#8220;logic&#8221;
