{"id":4938,"date":"2016-02-28T03:09:28","date_gmt":"2016-02-28T08:09:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/?p=4938"},"modified":"2016-02-28T03:09:28","modified_gmt":"2016-02-28T08:09:28","slug":"im-clawing-my-way-back-so-bring-on-the-windmills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/?p=4938","title":{"rendered":"I&#8217;m clawing my way back &#8211; so bring on the windmills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s no secret that the photos have been fewer and farther between for quite some time now.\u00a0 First I and every single member of our family had major health issues to deal with.\u00a0 Then after we circled the wagons and worked on treatment and healing we took on building a new house, and still have lots of thing in bins and a new Garage Majal to get whipped into shape.\u00a0 Additionally, my little kids have grown up to a point where they want more Dad time (not as much &#8220;Daddy&#8221;) and I&#8217;ve had a hectic freelance schedule.\u00a0 Whew.<\/p>\n<p>Well, I decided to knock off a little early on Friday and actually head out with my camera and some new gear I purchased with some of the aforementioned freelance money.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t want to make a major voyage out of it, but just work the outskirts of town and let the stress of the week melt away.\u00a0 What better way to get back into the game than to go with my trademark: windmills!\u00a0 I found a trio of &#8217;em.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36601.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4936\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36601-333x500.jpg\" alt=\"windmill_36601\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36601.jpg 333w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36601-100x150.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36601-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/a>I have photographed these before, but they do change over time.\u00a0 This one has lost more than half of the blades but is still standing tall.\u00a0 I chose not to remove the power lines in the background this time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36608.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4937\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36608-333x500.jpg\" alt=\"windmill_36608\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36608.jpg 333w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36608-100x150.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2016\/02\/windmill_36608-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/a>A wider shot may have portrayed this windmill standing alone in a vacant prairie better, but in reality there was a pole just out of the frame on the left where power comes in&#8230;presumably some sort of stock tank heater or something.\u00a0 The lettering on the vane (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.deanbennett.com\/windmilltailsection.htm\" target=\"_blank\">yes, that&#8217;s what it&#8217;s called<\/a>) says &#8220;R. R.
