That was my first reaction when I came upon it.  It even conjured memories of Lloyd and Harry&#8217;s ill-fated entrepreneurial opportunity in Dumb and Dumber!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2022\/02\/worm_cemetery_0056_7_8_hdr.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2022\/02\/worm_cemetery_0056_7_8_hdr.png 500w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2022\/02\/worm_cemetery_0056_7_8_hdr-150x100.png 150w, https:\/\/www.bismarckmandanblog.com\/images\/2022\/02\/worm_cemetery_0056_7_8_hdr-450x300.png 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a tiny little strip of land in a field just north of Highway 3.  I imagine it was named after one of the oldest cities in Europe: Worms, Germany.  This was the location of the Edict of Worms, where Martin Luther was branded a heretic.  And it was the even more awkwardly titled Diet of Worms who made this decision.  A &#8220;diet&#8221; in that sense was a deliberative body, not a food plan as we think of it today.
