Okay, technically this cabin is<\/em> next to a road, but not in the same way as the previous pair I\u2019ve posted recently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I grew up in the mountains, and if I had the means I\u2019d get back there much more often than I do. Every day in the mountains is special, especially when a surprise like this presents itself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My friend and I were hunting for a picnic spot next to a stream which carved its way through some huge, towering, rocky cliffs. We ventured upstream a ways to see if we could find a way to descend to the water, and we found one. We wound down it to the perfect picnic spot, wandered around among the rocks and burbling water, and marked it in the GPS for future visits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On our way back, I stopped to snap this shot of an object which had caught my eye on the way down while we were preoccupied with finding our way. It didn\u2019t disappoint.
