Ah, 1950’s…you had such high hopes for us. This reminds me of all the wild sci-fi which came out during this period, where mankind was expected to have gone to the stars by 1999. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember that Malibu I drooled over in a previous post? It was sporting this on the front quarter. Vroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I bet Porsche 924 owners tire of the disappointment they see in people’s faces when they get close enough to realize it’s not a 944. But there’s one thing it can boast:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It does<\/em> sport the largest corner reflector of anyone out there…proportionately, at least. My friend surmised that this might look normal on many of the other cars lining Main Street that day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s legit. I love the blue, by the way…have I mentioned that already? People think Kawasaki Green is my favorite color, and I do love it with every fiber of my being, but I think blue wins by a hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How I missed taking a photo of the grill emblem or the hood ornament of this Nash is beyond me. Well, that’s not exactly true…I got sucked in by something else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t think I’ve ever<\/em> had to change a roadside flat on a car, but if I did, I don’t know how I’d deal with the Rambler’s fender lines. I bet a guy just has to jack it up to the moon, and then it’s easy as pie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means motion. Fins, wings, and flight…cars of this era looked fast while sitting still. It’s a lost art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
