When I&#8217;ve had a drought in my photography habit, I&#8217;ve often found a nice windmill as a slumpbuster.  That&#8217;s what we have here: one of my favorite windmills southwest of Mandan.  It&#8217;s a stubby little guy, which means it&#8217;s really easy to fit it all in the frame of a horizontally-oriented photo.  And it was a pretty fantastic day, as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2026 has been the worst year on record, one I can&#8217;t wait to scrape off my shoe in a couple of months, and that&#8217;s why I&#8217;ve only got seventeen photos in my &#8220;2026&#8221; folder for this blog.  I hope to turn that around, however, now that I&#8217;ve emerged from calamity intact.
