This was a bonus find – I was in the area doing a farmstead photo thing for someone, and I noticed this beauty perched nearby. Once I’d accomplished my target objective, I flew over to get a closer look.

I’m always intrigued by the different designs and the names of the different manufacturers of these windmills. I admit I don’t pay close enough attention to know anything about them, spot the differences, or recognize different brands or types by sight. I just enjoy them in the moment.

My newest drone can look up more than the older ones I’ve flown – and continue to fly – over the years, so I can get shots like this. Pretty spectacular. I had a brief window of weather in which to pull this off, and I’m glad I did. It was some good windshield time, I was able to help someone out, and there was a bonus photo series at the end. What a great day, and this post is a great way to wrap up Windmill Week!
