Buggies & Blues: A few hoods downtown (Part 4)

My goodness, this truck exudes perfection. So beautiful with its hood up… I found myself drawn in to stare at a few vehicles with their hoods in the air.

When I was a kid, this was the high schooler’s hot rod of choice. Who can blame them? And this one has quite the hood to boast.

Legit. Look how meticulously cared for this car is. It’s even cleaner than my motorcycle! Yes, I did mean to type “motorcycle” – singular – as I’m down to one motorcycle in the garage for the first time since 1996. Perhaps it’s only temporary…

Look, I gotta feature this little 924 again. I don’t want to seem like I was dissing it the other day. It’s a cool car, and this one is in really nice shape.

Son of a gun, Chevy…how do you do it? Heartbeat of America indeed. Where can I get some apple pie?

Oh yeah! I forgot to show you what’s under the hood of that ’73 Opel GT the other day. How about it? Some blue to go with that bold purple. I forgot to ask which carb he’s got on it – I don’t know enough about the Opels to know by sight, but I have a friend who would be able to tell me if this is the one he cursed at profusely. Was the Weber the good one or the bad one? Hmmm…

I title this one “Mother in Law”. Not from personal experience. It’s just what came to mind when I saw it.

To be honest, I was too blown away by the bling to focus on the hood. The gold metal flake trim and trippy paint job distracted me. Shiny objects tend to do that to me these days…

I’ve got another batch or two of photos, so y’all keep comin’ back now, ya hear?
